AIAI was formed in 1983 to promote the
application of Artificial Intelligence research for
the benefit of commercial, industrial, and
government clients.
Since 2001 AIAI has been part of the
Artificial
Intelligence and its Applications Institute
(previously named CISA) within
the School of
Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. AIAI
continues to make available the resources and
educational materials from its previous
work. Applied AI work continues to be
performed by staff, students and collaborators
across the School of Informatics.
The School of
Informatics at the University of
Edinburgh offers a wide range of
undergraduate
and
postgraduate
degrees in Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive
Science, Computational Linguistics, Computer
Science, Software Engineering and Robotics.
This web site continues to be made available to
provide access to the projects and resources
created over the years by AIAI staff,
collaborators, visitors and students. More
information on some of the projects with
significant impact is available on
AIAI's innovative
applications along with a list of some of the
clients, project
collaborators and government agencies that have
worked with AIAI.
