Based on developing campaign object, requirements for additional forces and logistic support are developed and passed from JTF Planning Cell to USCP.
Notes:
In the process of developing the plan, JTF commander and his staff have considered the sort of support they will need, should they be ordered to rescue the Red Cross workers. This includes the use of an AC-130 Spectre gunship, which can provide surveillance and highly accurate close air support. Since this is a CINCSOC asset, it must be requested. By bringing CINCSOC into the Odyssey Operations Planning Room, this request can be coordinated directly with CINCSOC. Since the USCP/TRANSCOM liaison officer (LNO) is a member of the OPT, he or she is participating in the prospective JTF deliberations in the JTF Ops Center and is aware of the emerging requirement and can coordinate preliminary deployment plans using the JADE tool and working with the DMT in a virtual Odyssey DMT Cell .
At the same time, CTF 76 realizes that there may be unique logistic requirements associated with operating the ARG off Drapo and these concerns are passed back to COMSEVENTHFLT, CINCPACFLT, and USCP. Operating from the virtual LRC, the LRT addresses these concerns by coordinating the logistic support anticipated by the CJTF and other commanders.
