Implementation status

The O-Plan project aims to address real problems and issues of interest to Military Logistics Planners. The O-Plan project is broken down into the following three work packages.

• The aim of the Science Package is to address the basic research required to support the aims to be addressed in the Domain Package.
• The aim of the Domain Package is to provide and test a number of realistic plans and scenarios of interest to Military Logistics planners.
• The aim of the Technology Package is to take the ideas from the Science Package and to implement them within the O-Plan architecture.

The progress in each of these work packages is as follows:

Technology Package
O-Plan Version 2.1 first ARPI CPE release achieved on time in July 1993.

O-Plan Version 2.2 enhanced ARPI CPE release achieved on time in July 1994.

Science Package
Extended resource management concepts identified.

Authority Management concept described for inter-agent communication.

Domain Package
Reduced SOCAP demonstration converted to O-Plan Task Formalism Language and plans generated.

New O-Plan Version 2.3 requirements identified -- Full SOCAP.

Demonstration domain PRECiS defined based on the fictional island of Pacifica .

Year 2 and year 3 milestone demonstrations outlined for Non-combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO) Missions.
