Informatics Research Fellow, Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute, Division of Informatics, University of Edinburgh


Development and application of knowledge technology, with a special interest in knowledge modelling, knowledge engineering and knowledge management: 

·        Principal Investigator on a project entitled Social Aid for Interactive Developments, developing services to be used by the elderly and disabled and their carers, via digital TV. Edinburgh’s primary role is to develop an information service that provides relevant local and educational information.

·        Rapid Knowledge Formation -- a follow-on to our work on the DARPA High Performance Knowledge Bases program. We are investigating the development and application of an ontology for planning tasks. 

·        Board Member and Investigator for the SHEFC-funded Joseph Bell Centre for Forensic Statistics and Legal Reasoning. I'm also co-Principal Investigator on an ESRC-funded project entitled Internet-Based Decision Support for Divorce Law.

·        Preparing materials for a Master’s Training Package on Knowledge Management & Knowledge Engineering.
