Informatics DVDs on Artificial Intelligence and the Cinema

Listed below are the DVDs that the School of Informatics (University of Edinburgh) has that illustrate the presentation of Artificial Intelligence in Cinema. Bob Fisher's collected information about this topic can be found here.

These DVDs can be checked out for three days by any registered Edinburgh University person from 3rd year upwards. The collection is available at JCMB 2107E. This is also where you register to borrow the DVDs.

Note, some of the videos are "Area 2" (ie. Europe) and some are "Area 1" (ie. USA). [ed: Sorry, no "Area 51".]. This means that you need a "multiregion" DVD player to play the "Area 1" DVDs.

Why do we have this library?

• to strengthen the coherence of AI as a subject in the field of Informatics
• to provide a resource for science studies and sociological research into AI
• provide material for teaching purposes
• a resource for Edinburgh's AI Society
• instill some of the fun and excitement of AI
