Space Patrol is a puppet show written and produced by Roberta Leigh
and Arthur Provis in the early 1960s. It was renamed Planet Patrol
for the US market to avoid confusion with an existing show of that
name already being broadcast. Roberta Leigh wrote Twizzle and Torchy
which were produced by Gerry Anderson. Arthur Provis was part of
A.P. Films, the company responsible for shows such as Twizzle, Torchy,
Four Feather Falls, Supercar and Fireball XL5. Gerry Anderson was not
involved with the production of Space Patrol.
