It will show what the University of Edinburgh is doing in this field with its Virtual University of Edinburgh (Vue) in Second Life and on the open source OpenSimulator platform. Work on open systems for virtual collaboration in the OpenVCE.net community and my own work on intelligent collaboration spaces - I-Rooms - will be covered.
