Since 2011 AIAI has been part of the Artificial Intelligence and
its Applications Institute (previously named CISA) within the School
of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. AIAI continues to make
available the resources and educational materials from its previous
work. Applied AI work continues to be performed by staff, students and
collaborators across the School of Informatics.

Study Programmes at AIAI
emphasise the production of high quality project work applying AI.
Attendees build an initial
system which their company can develop further. This gives a
quick start on a project for a company,
and relevant knowledge engineering
skills for its staff. This is achieved through:
- a closely supervised and well planned work programme;
- working alongside skilled AI practitioners;
- access to excellent AI facilities.
The fundamental training strategy behind this "journeyman'' scheme is the
building of
a fully documented knowledge based system with supervision from AIAI staff.
