Typical Lecturer Duties ----------------------- Updated: Mon Feb 5 12:54:50 2007 Courses ------- 2 teaching courses Maintain Course descriptor on-line Set up Course web site for information and resources using ITO CVS scheme Prepare handouts Under EU access laws, handouts have to be available in machine readable form (ideally on the CVS system) Arrange to have them copied Set course work Grade course work Exam setting and marking Exam resit setting and marking Attendance at Teaching Committee where relevant Attend Board of Studies Meetings Attend Board of Examiners Meetings Attendance at the exam scruitiny meetings (to help double check exam scripts from other courses) Respond to student e-mails See students who call to seek help MSc Projects ------------ [Based on 120 MSc students between 50 lecturers] Proposals for 3 MSc projects on average Supervision of 2.2 MSc students on average Attend project group meetings for students you supervise Examining of your own MSc Students and Second Examiner or Moderator for others (total 4.4) Attend Board of Examiners meeting when marks and project results are agreed.
