The International Conference on AI Planning Systems is the main international gathering of researchers in AI Planning and Scheduling systems. The conference is aimed at a range of delegates from those interested in the latest techniques in planning and scheduling to those interested in applying them as solutions to problems in industry and engineering.

The conference hotel is the Holiday Inn -- Crowne Plaza and is located on the Royal Mile Edinburgh. Delegates are responsible for booking their own accommodation and settling all costs on departure.

Accommodation rates for the conference including Tax and Service are:

        Single       : £72 per night
	Double/Twin  : £92 per night
        Family Room  : £92 or £184 per night

The terminology of the Hotel rooms are as follows:

Single - one 3/4 size bed, 1 person "only" - £72 - Full Scottish Breakfast included.
Double - One or two persons in double room, 1 queen size bed - £92 - Full Scottish Breakfast included.
Twin - two persons - 2 3/4 size beds - £92 - Full Scottish Breakfast included.
Family room - Two person and Two children 13 years and under - £92. Full Scottish Breakfast included for the adults. The children's breakfast will be an additional £6.50 ($10.60 US) per child.
Family room - Two persons and 2 children over 13 years - £184. Full Scottish Breakfast included.

When booking delegates should state they are attending the AIPS-96 Conference to qualify for the special conference rate. A block of rooms has been reserved until the 1st May 1996. After this date the conference rate will still apply but room availability is not guarenteed.

Delegates wishing to stay during the weekend prior to or following the conference can be accommodated at the Holiday Inn -- Crowne Plaza at the special conference rate.
