A mutual understanding of the strengths and weaknesses provides the foundation for co-operation and trust which is vital to the planning and successful execution of logistic operations. Active liaison and joint and combined training at the multinational level facilitate this requirement. The greater the degree of standardization of equipment, procedures and doctrine the greater the degree of co-operation, mutual understanding and mission success.
